NDA GROUP WINS THREE PRESTIGE PRIZES IN THE SECOND VIETNAM URBAN PLANNING AWARD (VUPA)

On 12th December 2021, the second Vietnam Urban Planning Award (VUPA) ceremony was held in Hanoi with Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Mr.Le Minh Hoan, Deputy Minister of Construction Mr. Nguyen Van Sinh, and Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Mr.Hoang Dao Cung in attendance alongside the awardees.

NDA Group was honored with the Special Prize in the Detailed Planning Project category with the Cat Ba Amatina project - Cai Gia Tourism Urban Area, Cat Ba Town, Cat Hai District, Hai Phong. Additionally, the Long Tan tourist area project in Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province, and Mui Dinh Ecopark Ninh Thuan project also won silver and bronze prizes respectively in the same category. 

We are honoured to receive some of the most prestigious awards in the architecture and real estate development industry in Vietnam.

VUPA Awards are presented by the Vietnam Urban Development Planning Association (VUPDA) with the awards first debuting in 2018. This prestigious award in urban planning has gained patronage from the Prime Minister as well as the Ministry of Construction, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The award has gained an influential position in the national award system specializing in urban planning and development in Vietnam.

Special Prize - Cai Gia Tourism Urban Area, Cat Ba Town, Cat Hai District.

 Cat Ba Amatina is located on Cat Ba archipelago, Cat Hai island district, Hai Phong city, and located in the Red River Delta geographical area. The project is invested in by Vinaconex ITC Company, with NDA Group (NDA - New Design Associates Limited) as design consultant.

Stretching for nearly 3km along the cross-island route, Cat Ba Amatina covers an area of​​ over 172 hectares in the northern key economic development triangle area (Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh). The project is located at the gateway to the center of Cat Ba Island, next to the Cat Ba Biosphere Reserve. Overlooking two beautiful bays - Cai Gio and Tung Thu, this project is also bordered by the famous Lan Ha Bay, an official member of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World Club (MBBW).

Cat Ba Amatina aims to honor and maintain the bay’s signature beauty and preserve it for future generations. Furthermore, the project will take resort tourism standards to a new level with world-class facilities such as coastal resorts, 5-star hotel complexes, marinas, shopping centers, sports parks, and especially iconic amusement parks.

The design is a delicate combination of world-class architectural standards and traditional Vietnamese architectural space, promising to become an iconic international tourism destination, worthy of the title of “The new destination of Vietnam resort tourism”.

Besides the rapid development of the area and a a growing infrastructure system, Cat Ba island also completed the Cat Hai - Phu Long cable car in 2020. This above-sea cable car route gives tourists a uniquely panoramic view of Cat Ba Amatina’s beauty. 

Silver Prize - the Long Tan tourist area project, Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai.

 Located at the eastern gateway of Ho Chi Minh City, the Long Tan Tourist Urban Area consists of 322 hectares of land with a mix of residential and entertainment developments. High-class apartments, terraced houses, villas, and commercial housing provide living space, whilst entertained is catered by the riverside water park, restaurants, club on the island, yacht club, marina etc.

NDA’s design team took into account topography and regional features to form a design strategy that combined ecological elements, smart tech, and ecological lifestyle, to create "The most modern model ecological complex in Vietnam”.

With the core concept of purifying one’s body, mind, and spirit, the architects have manifested the LOHAS lifestyle into the project to create a healthy, sustainable lifestyle, whilst simultaneously conserving the environment.

The international consultant NDA Group will offer a comprehensive development plan with world-class standards, creating a resort lifestyle for everyone.

Bronze Prize – Mui Dinh Ecopark Ninh Thuan

Mui Dinh Ecopark is located on one-of-a-kind terrain with rocky mountains, dunes, and sub-deserts close to the arc-shaped beach.

Mui Dinh Ecopark consists of a complex of resorts on 766 hectares of land. Villas sit on both dunes and mountains, with dedicated space for hotels, beach clubs, and pools.

In our effort to minimise disruption to nature, NDA Group exhaustively researched Mui Dinh’s distinctive terrain, including rock formations and local flora and how our built complexes could coexist with them. 

Mui Dinh Ecopark will offer a wealth of unique desert experiences such as desert swimming, camel riding, all-terrain vehicle racing and so on.
