The architectural answer strongly brings local traditions into focus, combining the circular typologies of Fujian Tulou with a façade reminiscent of a wooden ship’s hull that creates bountiful opportunities for sustainable technologies, while also fostering public space.
As the construction process is nearing completion, an impressive lighting test is performed: bringing into focus the ingenious detailing of the vertical fins that integrate LED lights to transform the façades into massive, interactive screens – genuinely expressing Fuzhou city’s rediscovered spirit of dynamism and innovation.
